Display fraction visuals and model key vocabulary in the target language. Quickly review pronunciation, then have students repeat chorally and with partners.
Listen, repeat, and point to matching visuals. Turn and talk to say a fraction word or phrase.
Explain center directions, expectations, time limits, and how to record answers. Model one sample task from each center.
Ask questions, watch the model, and prepare materials for rotation.
Circulate, support language use, and prompt students with sentence frames.
Complete the first center task in pairs or small groups, speaking in the target language when possible.
Monitor accuracy, guide struggling groups, and note common errors for later review.
Rotate to a new center and complete the task, using visuals and recording sheet support.
Continue conferencing with groups and extending responses for advanced learners.
Work collaboratively to solve the third center challenge and explain answers to teammates.
Keep time, offer feedback, and encourage complete sentence responses.
Finish the final center, check work with peers, and correct mistakes if needed.
Lead a brief debrief of the most challenging items and revisit key vocabulary.
Share one answer, one strategy, or one new word in the target language.
Summarize what students practiced and preview the next lesson.
Complete an exit oral check or quick self-rating using fingers or a simple gesture.
End with a short class recap of the fraction words and structures students used. Celebrate effort, highlight one strong strategy from the centers, and remind students how these words connect to future math and language work.
