Look at pictures, share ideas, and listen to classmates.
Explain that citizenship means being a good member of a school or community. Give easy examples such as being kind, following rules, and helping others. Add vocabulary words to the board and say them together.
Repeat key words, answer questions, and connect examples to their own lives.
Read short situations aloud, such as 'A child picks up trash' or 'A child cuts in line.' Ask students to show thumbs up or thumbs down and explain their thinking.
Respond with thumbs up/down and share short answers.
Give pairs of students a set of picture cards or short statements. Ask them to sort choices into 'good citizenship' and 'needs improvement.' Walk around and support as needed.
Work with a partner to sort cards and discuss each choice.
Lead a quick stretch or movement game. Review the vocabulary words by having students act them out or clap the syllables.
Move, stretch, and practice vocabulary with the class.
Ask students to draw and write one way they can be a good citizen at school or at home. Provide a sentence frame: 'I can show citizenship by ______.'
Create a drawing and complete the sentence frame.
Invite volunteers to share their work. Praise specific examples of respectful listening, helping, and responsibility.
Present work, listen to peers, and reflect on their own choices.
